<br />$10.00 including applicable taxes, payable to the Town of Lakeshore upon registration and every <br />subsequent calendar year commencing January 1 thereafter. Upon payment of the fee, the Police <br />Service will register, retain and update information relating to the registered premises. <br /> <br />3. Registration fees for new alarms are due and payable prior to the first request for response to the <br />premises. <br /> <br />4. The Police Service will respond to two (2) "at fault false alarms" as defined herein, to any registered <br />premises with an alarm during each calendar year without charge to the premise's owner/occupier. <br /> <br />5. A charge in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be imposed on the premises <br />owner/occupier of any registered premises for response by the Police Service for the third "at fault <br />false alarm" within each calendar year and every subsequent call thereafter. <br /> <br />6. A charge in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00) will be imposed on the premises <br />owner/occupier of any unregistered premises for response by the Police Service for each "at fault false <br />alarm" within each calendar year. <br /> <br />7. Unless otherwise specified, all fees and charges collectable shall be due and payable at the time of <br />invoicing either by cash or cheque. <br /> <br />8. In the event that the premises owner/occupier fails to pay an "at fault false alarm" charge within thirty <br />(30) days of invoicing, the Town of Lakeshore will take appropriate steps in relation to collection <br />thereof which may include civil action and or the addition of the charge to the appropriate municipal <br />tax roll and or placing the premises on "low priority" by issuance of a low priority notice. <br /> <br />9. Where the Police Service has responded as a result of an "at fault false alarm" as defined herein on <br />three (3) occasions within each calendar year, the premises will be placed on a low priority list and the <br />owner will be notified of same by way of letter immediately following the last "at fault false alarm". <br /> <br />10. User fees and service charges may also be collected by addition of the fee or charge to the tax roll for <br />any real property in the municipality to be collected in a like manner as municipal taxes. <br /> <br />11. No person shall install, maintain or use an automatic calling device designed to transmit a message to <br />the Ontario Provincial Police, Lakeshore Detachment. <br /> <br />The premise's owner/agent shall: <br /> <br />a) Attend the premise where the alarm is activated, within 30 minutes of the activation; <br />b) Be available between 0800-2100 hours to allow access to the premises where the alarm is located <br />for inspection purposes and to answer inquiries from the Ontario Provincial Police, Lakeshore <br />Detachment. <br /> <br />12.
