BY-LAW NO. 56-2014 <br />BEING A BY-LAW OF THE <br />CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF LAKESHORE <br />• AMEND PURCHASING BY-LAW 58-2010 <br />GOVERNING PROCUREMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDUREI <br />WHEREAS Section 271 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 imposes upon <br />municipalities the obligation to adopt policies with respect to the procurement of <br />Goods and Services; <br />AND WHEREAS By-law 58-2010 establishes the authority and sets out the methods <br />by which Goods, Services or Construction will be purchased and disposed of for the <br />purposes of the Town of Lakeshore subject to certain exceptions as set out herein; <br />AND WHEREAS The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) <br />legislation requires the Town to review the accessibility of products that are <br />purchased and further that accessible products are purchased where practicable. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Town of Lakeshore enacts as follows: <br />That the following be added to Part 11 of the General Procurement Policy, <br />Procurement Documentation 2.1 e). <br />iv) ensure accessibilty criteria and features are incorporated where <br />practicable to do so. <br />All other clauses and provisions of the said By-law Number 58-2010 shall be <br />and remain in full force and effect. <br />This by-law shall come into force and effect on the day of the final passing <br />thereof. <br />READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 10 <br />DAY OF JUNE 2014. <br />MAYOR <br />TOM BAIN <br />CLERK <br />MARY MASSE <br />/cl <br />
